Tom Stevick is a Senior Partner of Ideas for Action, LLC, and one of the Founding Partners of Marygrove Consulting, LLC, a higher education and nonprofit consulting firm that specializes in the Minority-Serving Institution grant programs of the U.S. Department of Education. Tom interacts weekly with presidents, chancellors, vice-presidents and deans at colleges and universities throughout the country and facilitates strategic thinking exercises about building more responsive and inclusive campuses. He and his partner have built working teams at numerous institutions and focused their efforts on identifying needs and securing significant grant funding for student success initiatives.
Tom has held senior leadership roles in higher education for more than 20 years, including vice president positions at Eastern Michigan University, Ohio Northern University and Indiana University-South Bend where he led successful capital campaigns and worked at the cabinet level on strategic planning.
Tom has also held consulting and interim leadership roles at a number of institutions where he helped establish advancement teams and coached presidents and chancellors on fundraising, board relations, and community involvement. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Fairmont State University, a Master’s in Public Administration from West Virginia University, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
