Rebecca M. Dueben

is the President of Education in Evolution and Managing Partner for Strategy and Operations at Ideas for Action, LLC, where she partners with organizations to design strategic plans, coach leaders, and strengthen team and community development. With more than 25 years of experience in higher education, she helps institutions build leadership capacity, foster collaborative cultures, and launch initiatives that create meaningful and sustainable impact.

Dr. Dueben holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and is widely recognized for her ability to translate complex challenges into actionable strategies. She brings deep expertise in faculty development, leadership coaching, and organizational transformation, having guided major universities through strategic planning, large-classroom engagement, cultural change initiatives, and multifaceted organizational challenges. Her coaching style is reflective, evidence-based, and collaborative, ensuring that every engagement is tailored to the needs of leaders and institutions.

Throughout her career, Becky has specialized in faculty development, assessment, leadership, and transformational student engagement. Her broad experience—as faculty member, administrator, and staff—gives her unique insight into the perspectives of diverse stakeholders across the university system. She has served on numerous committees and boards, including the President’s Commission on Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation, and has mentored both students and faculty. In 2020, she received the Crimson Spirit Award for exceptional service reflecting dedication to her university’s mission and values.

Beyond academia, Becky extends her leadership to the wider community as a city council member for the City of Pullman. She is also a proud mother of two young women and has celebrated 26 years of marriage with her husband. In her creative life, Becky writes short fiction for a variety of publications, bringing the same curiosity and reflective spirit to her writing that she brings to her professional work.
