Kevin Whorton is President of WM&R, a consultancy focused on conducting and applying research in the association and non-profit sector. His services include conducting quantitative and qualitative research, and developing and executing marketing plans.
Kevin has 29 years of experience in the field, including serving as Director or VP for Catholic Relief Services, National Association of Chain Drug Stores, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, National Association of Home Builders. He has also worked for U.S. Department of Labor and Marketing General, Inc.
Kevin has worked with almost 300 association clients including a mix of large organizations as SHRM, ASAE Foundation, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, AAAS, and NRECA, as well many smaller associations and philanthropies.
Among his major accomplishments are raising $250 million in donations over three years for CRS, increasing SHRM membership by 40% in 18 months, and co-founding and launching a successful drug industry web portal for NACDS.
In his volunteer roles, he served 18 terms on ASAE Councils and Committees, served as Chair of the ASAE Membership Development Committee, Vice-Chair of the ASAE Marketing Section Council, and served as Vice Chair for the Direct Marketing Association Nonprofit Federation.
Kevin earned BA degrees in Business and Economics from Idaho State University, attended the University of Maryland PhD Economics program on a Presidential Fellowship, completed his PhD coursework in Industrial Organization at George Mason University, and earned a certificate in Retail Executive Management from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business.
